Aromatherapy Massage

A gentle massage technique which uses specially chosen essential oils to release tension and relax the mind.
It involves the use of natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of the plant for their remedial properties.

Benefits include pain and tension relief, mood enhancement and increased cognitive function plus a deep sense of repose.

Focuses on those areas where we store most of our stress and tension.
This massage involves both gentle pressure and kneading techniques to relax and soften muscular tension.

Deep Tissue Massage

Works on the deeper layers of the muscles, focusing therapeutically on the core and deeper structures of the body including tendons and ligaments.
It is an excellent pain relieving technique as it helps release excess lactic acid and trapped toxins from deep within the muscle.
Essentially, the techniques used acts as a muscular decongestant.

Swedish/Holistic Full Body Massage

Both use light touch and tissue manipulation techniques. The primary aim of these techniques is relaxation of both body and mind, stress relief and revitalising of energy levels.

The client is covered in soft towels, which are turned back to reveal only the area to be massaged at that time.
Areas massaged in a full body massage are normally, legs, thighs, arms, front & back of shoulders, abdomen (optional) back, neck and scalp.

Hot Stone Massage

Using Hot Basalt Stones that were formed millions of years ago during volcanic eruptions near coastal areas.
The heat from these stones can penetrate deeply into the muscles and the entire body to give you a truly calm, magnificent comforting experience.

It promotes:

  • Deep muscle and tissue relaxation
  • Alleviates stress
  • Releases toxins
  • Relieves pain
  • Improves circulation
  • Calms the psyche

Indian Head Massage

This massage concentrates on the shoulders head, neck and face. It is an excellent remedy for headaches, sinus pain, insomnia, fatigue, migraine, tension or stress related conditions.

Its aim is to restore calm, reduce stored up tension and aid concentration.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage can be received after the first trimester (14 weeks.)

Massage during pregnancy can be hugely beneficial not only for the mother to be but also for baby.
We use a combination of gentle and deeper, specially chosen massage techniques to ease out those normal aches and discomforts associated with pregnancy.

The massage can be carried out in a seated position or lying on the side. It can include lymphatic drainage of the legs.

We aspire to leave the expecting Mum feeling relaxed and cared for – and a happy and relaxed Mum means a happy baby!

Hawaiian Massage - Lomi Lomi Nui

This treatment uses lots of oil and free flowing moves to wrap around the whole body.

Perfect for emotional rebalancing and an all over sense of connection.

Reflexology

This is massage to the feet using acupressure – the pressing of reflex areas on the feet. Over 7000 nerve endings correspond to organs and systems of the body. 
Reflexology to the feet releases pain and tension throughout the body, restores calm while at the same time freeing the energy pathways.

Typical reasons for receiving reflexology include infertility, arthritis, sleep disorders, hormonal imbalances and improvement of the blood and lymph circulatory systems.
